How To Setup Mailpoet As Personal Autoresponder

If you have been blogging for a long time, you must be familiar with the importance of building an email list. An email list of subscribers creates a loyal following and improves the readership of your blog. Mailpoet is one such plugin that lets you send automatic emails to subscribers that keep them updated with what is going on with your website. Here is an easy way by which you can setup Mailpoet as your personal Autoresponder.

The first step in this process would be to download and activate the WordPress plugin for Mailpoet newsletters. This plugin is free to use for the basic features and up to 2000 subscribers.

Login to your WordPress account. On your WordPress dashboard, you will be able to see the Mailpoet icon. Click on it and then select the option of Newsletters.

On the top of the dashboard, you will be able to see the option to ‘Create a New Email’.

This will take you to another page where you will have the option to choose the type of newsletter from a standard and automatic newsletter. Select the ‘Automatic Newsletter’ option.

You can then select the date and time you want to send the newsletter. Select the option to send an email whenever there is new content on the blog. You can choose how frequently and when you want to send the email. You can choose to send it immediately, monthly, weekly or daily.

You will then see an option to select your subject line. You should note down what you want the subject of your email to be over there. You can also add the post title, number of posts, or the edition number of the newsletter.

You can then choose whichever list of subscribers you want to send the email to. You can choose the option of WordPress Users to send the email to all your subscribers. You can then move on to the next step by clicking the button below.

This will take you to a page where you can select your email features. The option to send automatic latest content will be selected. By selecting that you will be able to see the option to ‘Edit Automatic Latest Content’. You will be able to select the number of posts and pages that get sent in the email. You can also choose if you only want specific categories of post sent.

You will see several options to customize your email next to the email box. You can choose to modify the titles or text, the automatic content, bookmarks, and dividers under the ‘Content’ label. You can choose to add images, select the color, font, and other style details under the images, styles and themes options. Move on to the next step once you are done designing your email.

You will be directed to a page where you can go over all the options you selected previously. You can add the sender name and email ID at this stage. You can also add the details of the ID you want your subscribers to reply on.

You can then select the option to ‘Send Preview’ and have a final look at your email.

If you are satisfied with all the details, then click on ‘Activate Now’ and send the email to your list!
